The home
A house on a quiet Fairfax street
About 3,800 square feet of living space across three levels — 2,976 of it above grade, as filed with the county, plus a finished lower level. Four resident bedrooms, all on the second floor, four bathrooms, a deck and a garden on a 13,000 square foot lot.
The house, in motion
A slow pass through the rooms — every frame a photograph of the real house.

- Grab bars in every bathroom
- Handrails through the hallways
- Non-slip flooring in resident areas
- Interconnected hardwired smoke detection
- Emergency call button in every bedroom and bathroom
Make It Their Room
Four resident bedrooms mean real rooms, not bunks. Families are encouraged to bring photographs, familiar bedding and meaningful objects — the quilt that has always been on the bed, the clock radio set to the station it has always been set to.
Room dimensions and furniture policies are covered during your tour and written into the residency agreement.
Safety
How we think about safety
We are not going to publish our security procedures. What families reasonably want to know is that a plan exists, that it is practised, and who gets told when something happens.
- A written plan, wider than fire
- Fire, severe weather, loss of power or water, medical emergencies, a resident leaving unaccompanied, lockdown, and evacuation.
- Practised, not filed
- Fire drills monthly across varying days and shifts. Severe weather drills quarterly. Others twice a year. Each documented — including what did not go well.
- Seventy-two hours of supplies
- Water, non-perishable food, a three-day supply of every resident's medication, first aid, lighting, a battery radio and blankets.
- A medical emergency
- 911 first, then the physician, then the legal representative — and a critical incident report to VDSS within 24 hours.
- Families told within four hours
- That is the standard we hold ourselves to for any significant emergency.
